Taking the First Step

The beginnings or start of something is always the hardest parts. Getting that initial push, taking that first step. This year is going to be my second chance. A second chance at school, at managing my depression, at finding my faith again, and at becoming physically fit. This time I am actually taking steps at tackling the things that hold me back most, the things that cripple me. I am going to a Christian school, I’m going to crossfit, seeing a counselor, and actually doing my work. Such simple things, but to me they are like climbing Mount Everest.

I guess I am feeling better about the future now, but this is going to be a long battle and a learning experience. This is just the start of my journey, and it’s definitely going to have its ups and downs, but I can actually say that I’m excited(!!!!), and a little bit scared, to be starting this new path to finding wellness and being “sound in mind, body, and spirit.”

  2. I personally really relate to your story because of my own depression and struggles with faith, and I think it's really cool that you're starting over and facing your problems head on. I appreciate your honesty and I'm excited to learn from you and watch you grow in your overall health journey. I also really love your design! You go, girl!

  5. I believe your blog can be an inspiration for people passing through this kind of situation and believes that they are alone. It will give them a way of knowing that there are others passing through the same situation and powering through it.
