Home Sweet Home

This weekend I went back home to New Jersey. I got to eat Korean food, see my family and my pets, and forget about school for a bit. Last week was rough and being able to go home and rest from school was so good and much needed. It was a nice mini-break before fall break! I got to watch one of my all time favorite mini-series, which takes place in the fall, so it was in line with the season, I cleaned my fish tanks, and I got to play with my dog. Taking this mini-break was so good for my mental health. It was like I was getting a second to breathe and just relax.

But all good things must come to an end and I had to come back to school. I am so glad that fall break is coming up soon and will be able to be home for longer and have that time to unwind and recharge more.

One of the things that I'm trying to learn is to tell myself that I'm doing okay. That not having an A in my classes doesn't mean that I'm failing, that if I miss crossfit it doesn't mean that I'm going to gain 5 pounds, that if I miss class it's not going to be the end of the world. I need to teach myself that a B is good too, that I'm human and I'll miss some crossfit workouts and classes.
